1. Eligibility & Acceptance

• You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.

• Where a learner is a minor, use of our services must be approved by a parent or legal guardian.

• Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and related policies.

2. Services Provided

Sedney Institute provides:

• Technical and vocational training

• Online and in-person classes

• Professional development courses

• Digital learning materials and resources

• Assessments, certifications, and support services

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at our discretion.

3. User Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information

• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials

• Use our platforms for lawful and educational purposes only

• Respect instructors, staff, and fellow learners

You must not:

• Share accounts or course materials without authorization

• Engage in cheating, plagiarism, harassment, or misuse of content

• Attempt to disrupt or compromise our systems or services

4. Payments & Fees

• Course fees must be paid in full or according to agreed payment plans.

• All prices are displayed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless stated otherwise.

• Access to courses, certificates, or materials may be restricted if payments are incomplete.

• Payments are processed through approved third-party payment providers.

• Refunds, where applicable, are governed by our Refund & Return Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

All content provided by Sedney Institute, including:

• Course materials

• Videos, notes, graphics, and branding

• Website and platform content

is the intellectual property of Sedney Institute and may not be copied, reproduced, resold, or distributed without written permission.

6. Online Learning & Platform Use

• Access to online courses is granted for the duration specified at enrollment.

• Recorded sessions and materials are for personal learning use only.

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted access due to technical issues beyond our control.

7. Certificates & Assessments

• Certificates are issued upon successful completion of course requirements.

• Sedney Institute reserves the right to withhold or revoke certificates in cases of misconduct, non-payment, or academic dishonesty.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in that policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

Sedney Institute shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses

• Interruptions caused by third-party systems or internet providers

• Outcomes related to employment, examinations, or career placement

Training is provided on a best-effort educational basis.

10. Termination of Access

We may suspend or terminate access to our services if:

• These Terms are violated

• Fraudulent or abusive activity is detected

• Required payments are not made

Termination does not waive outstanding obligations.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website. Continued use of services indicates acceptance of updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
